Short Biography: Chou Chau Yuan-Fong is a Professor at the Centre for Advanced Material and Energy Sciences (CAMES), Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Brunei. His research focuses on nanophotonics in materials and energy sciences, covering experiments, fabrication, and simulations. His expertise includes electromagnetic field simulation, plasmonic photocatalysis, green energy, biosensors, metamaterials, biophotonics, near-field optics, nonlinear and quantum optics, nano/micro-optical systems, photonic crystals, LED lighting, fiber optics, and plasmonic solar cells. He has published over 100 SCI papers as a corresponding or first author, with a Scopus h-index of 52, and has been recognized among the world's top 2% of scientists since 2019.

Member of the editorial board of international Journal Frontiers in Imaging, American Journal of Remote Sensing, He also serves as a reviewer for many authoritative academic journals such as IEEE TIP, IEEE TGRS, IEEE GRSL, and Remote Sensing. In the past three years, he has published 30 academic papers as the first/corresponding author in top journals in the field of Remote Sensing such as IEEE TIP, IEEE TGRS, and Remote Sensing, and 5 papers have been selected as ESI highly cited papers.
