Marc A. Rosen, Ph.D., is a Professor at University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa, Canada, where he served as founding Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. Dr. Rosen has served as President of the Engineering Institute of Canada and of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering. He has acted in many professional capacities, such as Editor-in-Chief of various journals, and a Director of Oshawa Power and Utilities Corporation. With over 70 research grants and contracts and 900 technical publications, Dr. Rosen is an active teacher and researcher in sustainable energy, sustainability, and environmental impact. Much of his research has been carried out for industry. Dr. Rosen has worked for such organizations as Imatra Power Company in Finland, Argonne National Laboratory near Chicago, the Institute for Hydrogen Systems near Toronto, and Ryerson University in Toronto, where he served as Chair the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Industrial Engineering. Dr. Rosen has received numerous awards and honours, and is a Fellow of numerous societies.

Mohammadreza Aghaei received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy in 2016. He joined Fraunhofer ISE as visiting scholar in 2015. He was a Postdoctoral Scientist at Fraunhofer ISE and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB)-PVcomB, Germany, in 2017 and 2018, respectively. He has been joined to the Department of Sustainable Systems Engineering (INATECH), Solar Energy Engineering at the University of Freiburg, as a Senior Lecturer and Professor since 2017. Later, he also fulfilled another two years postdoc in the Design of Sustainable Energy Systems Group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), in the Netherlands. He was involved in several national and EU-funded research projects dealing with energy systems, energy flexibility, solar photovoltaics, and smart/autonomous technology. He is also an IEEE senior member. Currently, he is working as a senior scientist at the Smart Buildings and Infrastructure group at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Norway. He is also the coordinator of an EU Horizon 2020 project “COLLECTiEF” - Collective Intelligence for Energy Flexibility. He authored numerous publications in internationally refereed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. His main research interests include Smart building/grid, Photovoltaics, Renewable Energy Systems, Energy Transition, Energy Flexibility, Autonomous Monitoring, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Twin.

Dr. Moghtada Mobedi is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shizuoka University in Hamamatsu, Japan. He earned his Ph.D. from Middle East Technical University and previously served as a faculty member at the Izmir Institute of Technology. He has taught numerous bachelor, master and Ph.D. level courses at various universities across Japan, Turkey, and other European countries, including subjects such as Advanced Thermal Engineering, Computational Heat Transfer, and Advanced Heat Transfer. Furthermore, he has supervised a significant number of master's and Ph.D. students who have since graduated and are actively pursuing careers in academic and industrial sectors worldwide. His core research focuses on Thermal Engineering, with specific expertise in heat transfer enhancement, modeling of heat and fluid flow in porous media, and thermal energy storage systems utilizing solid-liquid phase change materials (PCMs). He has contributed to the field through his editorial work, serving as a editor for books including Solid–Liquid Thermal Energy Storage: Modeling and Applications (2022) and Advances on Heat and Mass Transfer in Porous Media (2023), and authoring Fundamentals of Heat Transfer: An Interdisciplinary Analytical Approach (2023). He has served as the Guest Editor for six special issues focusing on thermal energy storage and heat and mass transfer in porous media in various prestigious academic journals. He has an extensive publication record, having authored over 150 scientific publications and contributed to the academic literature. He has led many projects funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, the Suzuki Foundation, the State Planning Department of Turkey, and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey to study and discover innovative methods for heat transfer enhancement in convective flows, adsorbent beds, as well as in solid-liquid phase change thermal storage. He also served as the Co-Chair for the event “Fundamentals of Heat and Mass Transfer in Porous Media: Fundamental and Application,” which was held in Xi'an, China, in 2024. He is the Co-Chair for the same conference, which is scheduled to be held in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2026. He was honored to be a plenary and keynote speaker on his research topics at numerous conferences, and is pleased to be invited to present his team’s study at the GEESD 2026 conference in Luzhou, China.
