Author Guidelines
After finishing registration of the
conference, please submit your paper to email:
liuzhongchuang@yznu.cn
Please submit the
papers with a cover letter containing the
"registration receipt" and “recommendation” issued by ERSD 2023 conference committee if the
papers are recommended to be submitted to the Special Issue of “Environmental Science and Pollution
Research” or the Special Issue of “JoVE-Journal of Visualized Experiments”.
As part of the
submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's
compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to
authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
l The submission has not been previously published, nor is it
before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided
in Comments to the Editor).
l The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file
format.
l Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
l The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; with a
suitable wide margin on one side of the A4-size paper; and all illustrations,
figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points,
rather than at the end.
l All pages starting with
the title page should be numbered sequentially.
l The manuscript (including tables, graphs, photographs, etc.)
should not exceed 20 pages (or 10,000 words), 30 pages (or 15,000 words), and 5
pages (or 2,500 words) for original research paper, review article and short
communication respectively.
l The major sections of the manuscript for research and review
articles should include introduction, materials and methods, results,
discussion (or results and discussion), conclusion, acknowledgement (if any)
and references (author-year in alphabetical order) in order. A short
communication may continue with all these sections without heading and/or
subheading and the number of references should not exceed ten.
l The manuscript will be returned to the author without review
for reconsideration if the plagiarism detection system yields a similarity
index of more than 20% (excluding bibliography/references, quotes and small
sources with source exclusion threshold of five word counts).
l The first page of the article (title page) should include
the following elements: Title of the manuscript
(Times New Roman Font, Size 14 Bold). The author's name (s) and initials (s)
should probably be spelled with the first name and the corresponding author
should be addressed with an asterisk (*) (Times New Roman Font, Size 12). Affiliation(s)
of the author (s) and addresses (Times New Roman Font, Size 12). Name, address,
telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address of the corresponding author (Times
New Roman Font, Size 12).
l The abstract should be a concise and practical summary (no
more than 250 words without an abbreviation) of the main article that includes
an introduction, purpose, method, significant new results and conclusions
(without headings), and the abstract should stand alone and be placed in the
second page.
l Immediately after the abstract, on the same page, up to six
keywords (Times New Roman Font, Size 12) should be provided for indexing
purposes.
l The manuscript should have a brief background of the present
work with adequate references (latest references if available), and the last
paragraph of the introduction should state the justification and objectives for
the work.
l The experimental section should present a clear and detailed
description of the experimental method that might be reproducible, and it also
includes material sources and machines used with their name, model and
configuration (if applicable).
l The original and core findings of the research should be briefly
stated.
l The impact of your results should be discussed here in
relation to other recent studies.
l The measurement units should be demonstrated by using System
International (SI) units.
l Footnotes and/or endnotes may be used in articles as
appropriate. However, they should be numbered with Arabic numerals using a
smaller font size (10pt). Table footnote can be provided with a superscript
lowercase letter. Please do not place the footnotes in the reference section.
l It is advisable to avoid tables and graphs that involve
unnecessary duplication of information. The table number should be specified in
the text serially (marked as Tables 1, 2, etc.). Table captions must be located
at the top of each table (Times New Roman Font, Size 12, for both Table's
contents and captions.
l The figures should be carefully drawn for suitable direct
reproduction (size does not exceed to 5 inches x 7 inches). Like tables,
figures should be described in the text in a consecutive manner (Fig. 1, 2
etc.). The preferred file format for figures is ‘.tif’ and ‘.jpeg.’ Please do
not supply figures that are low in resolution (preferred more than 300dpi).
l The author(s) should follow American Psychological
Association Publication Manual version 7 (APA 7) referencing style that may be
found at (http://libguides.unitec.ac.nz/apareferencing/referencingbooks).
l Supplementary material such as data, applications, images,
etc. can be published with article to enhance it visibility. Submitted
supplementary items are published exactly as they are received (Word, Excel or
Power Point files will appear as such online). Please submit your material
together with the article and supply a concise, descriptive caption for each
supplementary file.
