Prof.Hanxiong Li received his bachelor's degree from National University of Defense Technology in 1982, his master's degree from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands in 1991, and his doctorate degree from Auckland University in New Zealand in 1997. In his early career, he worked in the Third Department of General Staff in satellite technology detection and worked in China International Trust and Investment Corporation in investment feasibility studies. In the 1990s, he worked as a senior engineer in ASM, an international electronics packaging giant, and then taught at City University of Hong Kong. He is now a tenured professor at City University of Hong Kong, a Distinguished Professor at Central South University and a Distinguished Expert of China Overseas Chinese Association and a Distinguished Expert of Hunan Province. He is the recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund (Overseas) in 2004, Changsha Scholar of the Ministry of Education (2006), Changjiang Scholar Award of the Ministry of Education (2006-2009), IEEE Fellow (2010), and National "Thousand Talents Program" Scholar (2010). He has been engaged in theoretical research on intelligent modeling and control, industrial process control and integrated design, data mining and intelligent decision making in complex manufacturing environment, as well as the application in microelectronics packaging and other related processes for many years; he has published more than 130 SCI papers in international top academic journals and served as an associate editor of several international top journals.
